Wheelchair accessible housing: Designing homes that can be easily adapted for residents who are wheelchair users : Best Practice Guidance / Greater London Authority, 2007.
The London Plan Supplementary Planning Guidance Accessible London lists in an appendix the key features that make a home easily adaptable for wheelchair users. This BPG provides more detail on these key features and includes technical information on how to design homes from the outset that are easy to adapt. The aim is to promote the provision of more wheelchair accessible housing in London and so help to combat some of the discrimination that disabled people experience in finding suitable housing in both the private and social rented sectors.
